Six-Month Individual & Relationship Mentorship Agreement

This agreement outlines the expectations, boundaries and terms of our six-month mentorship together.

The purpose of this container is to provide a safe, supportive and accountable space for each person to work individually on their own self-awareness, personal growth, communication, emotional patterns and relationship dynamics.

While there may be a shared desire to explore whether reconciliation and repair of the relationship is possible, reconciliation is not a guaranteed outcome of this mentorship.

The primary desired outcome is individual growth.

The intention is that each person becomes clearer, more self-aware and better equipped to make conscious decisions about themselves, their relationship and their family from a grounded place rather than from reaction, fear, resentment or unresolved patterns.

The Mentorship

The six-month mentorship includes:

  • Weekly individual sessions for each participant.

  • Joint sessions when and if I determine that the timing is appropriate and both participants are willing.

  • Sessions via Zoom or in person in Capalaba.

  • Access to the Know Thyself programme and associated Self Mastery resources.

  • Exercises, reflections or practices to complete between sessions where appropriate.

  • Development of a Code of Honour for the separation period.

  • Further relationship agreements or Codes of Honour should you move into a relationship repair or reconciliation phase.

  • Ongoing guidance, accountability and support throughout the mentorship period.

Our work may explore areas including subconscious beliefs and patterns, communication, emotional regulation, boundaries, personal responsibility, relationship dynamics, attachment, values, needs, behaviour, self-awareness and self-mastery.

Individual Work Comes First

Although you are entering this mentorship within the context of your relationship, you will each be treated as an individual client during your private sessions.

The focus of these sessions is your own growth, behaviour, patterns, choices and personal responsibility, rather than analysing, diagnosing or attempting to change the other person.

Individual sessions are not intended to gather evidence against your partner, prove who is right or wrong, or establish blame.

You are each responsible for the way you participate in the mentorship and for the decisions you make as a result of your own process.

Confidentiality

Individual sessions are private and confidential.

Information shared with me privately by one participant will not automatically be disclosed to the other participant.

I will not use information disclosed during an individual session to confront, embarrass or disadvantage the other person during a joint session.

Where something discussed individually would be beneficial to explore together, I may encourage you to bring the conversation into a joint session yourself, or I may ask for your permission before introducing the subject.

You may also choose to give me permission to communicate specific information to the other participant where you believe this would be helpful.

Confidentiality may only be broken where required by law or where there is a serious and immediate concern regarding the safety of yourself or another person.

Both participants are also asked to respect the privacy of this process and to carefully consider what personal information about the other person, their sessions or the relationship is shared with friends, family or third parties.

Specific expectations around privacy may also form part of your Code of Honour.

Joint Sessions

Joint sessions may be introduced when appropriate.

These sessions are designed to facilitate understanding, communication, accountability, clarity and conscious decision-making.

They are not intended to become:

  • a slinging match

  • an opportunity to attack or humiliate the other person

  • a space for ongoing blame

  • a competition over whose experience is more valid

  • a place to repeatedly relive conflict without moving towards understanding or resolution.

Both people will be expected to participate respectfully.

I reserve the right to pause, redirect or end a joint session where communication becomes abusive, threatening or otherwise inappropriate for the space.

Reconciliation

There is currently no assumption that reconciliation will occur.

The work may ultimately support reconciliation and rebuilding the relationship, or it may support each person in gaining enough clarity to consciously decide that continuing the relationship is not right for them.

Neither outcome will be treated as a failure.

You are entering this mentorship with a commitment to undertake your own work sincerely and allow clarity to unfold through the process.

I cannot guarantee the outcome of your relationship or the decisions either person may make.

Commitment & Personal Responsibility

This mentorship requires active participation.

You agree to:

  • attend sessions consistently

  • communicate honestly

  • complete agreed practices or reflections where appropriate

  • take responsibility for your own actions and choices

  • remain open to feedback and self-reflection

  • communicate respectfully with me and with the other participant

  • raise concerns directly rather than allowing them to remain unspoken

  • understand that meaningful personal change requires participation outside of our sessions as well as during them.

My role is to support, guide, challenge, educate and hold you accountable throughout this process.

There may be times when I reflect behaviour, patterns or inconsistencies that are uncomfortable to hear. This is part of the mentorship process and will always be approached with the intention of supporting awareness and growth.

Booking Sessions

Sessions can generally be booked up to one month in advance, allowing us to create consistency while working around all of our schedules.

Where possible, I recommend booking several sessions ahead so that regular weekly sessions are secured.

I understand that life happens and some flexibility may occasionally be required.

If you need to change an appointment, please provide as much notice as possible.

Appointments cancelled or rescheduled with less than 24 hours' notice may be considered forfeited, except where otherwise agreed due to exceptional circumstances.

Repeated cancellations or rescheduling may affect the continuity and effectiveness of the mentorship and may require us to review the session schedule.

Zoom & In-Person Sessions

Sessions may be conducted:

  • via Zoom; or

  • in person at my private space in Capalaba, Brisbane.

Zoom sessions may be recorded where agreed so that you can revisit your session.

Recordings are provided for your personal use only and are not to be published, shared online or distributed to third parties without permission.

Investment & Payment

The investment for the six-month mentorship is $6,500 AUD.

This includes the agreed individual sessions, appropriate combined sessions, mentorship support and access to the Know Thyself programme and associated resources.

Payment may be made in full or through the agreed six-month payment arrangement.

Where a payment plan has been selected, payments remain due according to the agreed schedule for the duration of the mentorship.

Late or missed payments may result in sessions being temporarily suspended until the account is brought up to date.

Any applicable late payment fees will be charged in accordance with the agreed payment terms.

Refunds & Early Withdrawal

Because this mentorship requires six months of availability to be reserved, planning to occur in advance and resources to be provided from commencement, payments are non-refundable once the mentorship has begun.

Choosing to discontinue the mentorship, deciding not to reconcile, changing personal circumstances or choosing not to attend remaining sessions does not automatically create an entitlement to a refund.

Where a payment plan has been agreed, withdrawing from active participation does not automatically cancel the remaining financial commitment under that agreement.

Any exceptional circumstances will be considered at my discretion.

Know Thyself & Mentorship Resources

Access to the Know Thyself programme, workbooks, videos, exercises and other materials is provided solely for your personal use.

All resources remain my intellectual property unless otherwise stated and may not be copied, reproduced, taught, distributed, uploaded, sold or provided to another person without written permission.

Code of Honour

At the beginning of the mentorship you will each be invited to contribute privately to a Code of Honour covering the separation period.

This may include agreements around:

  • communication

  • children and parenting routines

  • contact with the children while they are with the other parent

  • finances and shared expenses

  • emergencies

  • privacy

  • family and friends

  • personal boundaries

  • practical responsibilities

  • expectations during the separation period.

I may assist by acting as a neutral facilitator when initially communicating these requests.

The Code of Honour is intended to create clarity and agreed expectations. It is not a legal agreement and does not replace legal advice, parenting orders, financial agreements or other formal arrangements.

If the relationship moves into a repair or reconciliation phase, a new Code of Honour may be developed together.

Scope of Support

The mentorship is designed to support personal development, self-awareness, communication and relationship growth.

It is not a substitute for medical care, psychiatric treatment, legal advice, financial advice, family dispute resolution or emergency mental health services.

Where an issue falls outside my professional scope, I may recommend seeking additional support from an appropriately qualified professional.

Communication Outside Sessions

Reasonable communication between sessions may be used for updates, scheduling, clarification and agreed mentorship support.

Messaging is not intended to replace scheduled sessions, facilitate extended conflict mediation or provide emergency or crisis support.

Where something requires deeper exploration, I may ask that we bring it into your next session.

Respecting Both Participants

Because I am working individually with both participants, I commit to approaching each person without taking sides.

My role is not to determine who is the good person, bad person, victim or perpetrator within the relationship.

My role is to support each person in seeing their own patterns, needs, choices and opportunities for growth.

There may be times where I challenge one person more strongly than the other within a particular session. This does not indicate allegiance or judgement. Each session will respond to what is relevant for that individual at that time.

Ending the Professional Relationship

I reserve the right to discontinue the mentorship where there is threatening behaviour, harassment, repeated disrespect of professional boundaries, non-payment, misuse of confidential information or circumstances that make it inappropriate for me to continue working with either participant.

Where possible, this would first be discussed openly and respectfully.
